The "Barske Hornyatko" (Bar-style mug) featuring the "On Horseback" ornament is a handcrafted piece by artisans from the "Keramika Podillia" workshop in the Vinnytsia region. They are dedicated to reviving Ukraine's cultural heritage by creating tableware adorned with the traditional designs of their local area.
Bar ceramics represent a renowned folk craft from the town of Bar in the Podillia region.
In the 19th century, Bar was a major pottery center; its wares were celebrated for their elegance, distinctive white background, and graphic style. The craft's most recognizable features are the "horn" painting technique and *flankuvannia* (a color-blending or feathering technique), which harmoniously combine white, green, ochre-yellow, and brown hues.
Made from natural, eco-friendly clay and finished with a safe glaze, this piece is perfect for daily use and for serving hot or cold dishes.
