The "Barske" mug featuring a bird motif is a handcrafted piece by artisans from "Keramika Podillia" in the Vinnytsia region. They are dedicated to reviving Ukraine's cultural heritage by creating tableware adorned with traditional designs native to their area.
Barska ceramics represent a renowned folk craft from the town of Bar in the Podillia region. In the 19th century, Bar was a major center for pottery, celebrated for the elegance, light backgrounds, and distinctive graphic style of its wares. The craft's signature features include slip-trailing (applying paint with a horn-shaped tool) and "flanking" (blending colors), creating a harmonious combination of white, green, ochre-yellow, and brown hues.
Made from natural, eco-friendly clay and finished with a safe glaze, this mug is perfect for daily use and for serving hot or cold beverages.
