The pot was made and painted by a craftswoman by hand. The ornaments belong to the Trypillian culture, which existed in the territory of modern Ukraine in the 4th-3rd millennia BC. Spiral and wavy motifs are characteristic of this culture.
These ornaments had a deep symbolic meaning associated with the fertility of the earth, the cult of the sun and water, as well as with ideas about the infinity of life and the cyclical nature.
In particular, spirals are often interpreted as a symbol of development, movement, eternity and the solar disk. Wavy lines symbolized water as a source of life.
The exact meaning of a specific combination of elements on your cup can be interpreted differently, but in general such an ornament carries a positive meaning associated with life, growth and harmony with nature.

Trypilians are like those who grow the gifts of the Earth, grain and take care of their families out of respect for motherhood and the forces of nature.
Scythians - how incredible powerful tribes of conquerors and traders, whose sons conquered Europe and befriended the then powerful Hellenic culture of Greece.
