"The wooden puzzle "The sun is low, the tractor is close" is based on a painting by Maria Prymachenko - one of the most famous Ukrainian artists. Her works are distinguished by bright colors, fairy-tale creatures and symbols that are understandable to both children and adults. By assembling this puzzle, you touch a unique artistic world, where folk motifs, fantastic thinking and a unique style are combined, which distinguishes Maria Prymachenko's work among others.

The puzzle was created in collaboration with the Prymachenko Family Foundation.
Maria Prymachenko (January 12, 1909 - August 18, 1997) is a Ukrainian artist who created in the style of naive art. She created works in painting, embroidery and ceramics.
In 1966, Maria Prymachenko received the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) recognized 2009 as the Year of Prymachenko, and a street in Kyiv and one of the asteroids were named after her. During her lifetime, her works were exhibited in exhibition halls in Paris, Warsaw, Sofia, Montreal, and Prague.
Maria Prymachenko is the heart and armor of Ukrainian art. During her lifetime, she created a new page in the history of Ukraine's cultural heritage and laid the foundations for a better understanding of national identity for the modern generation of Ukrainians.
On February 25, 2022, one of the enemy's missiles hit the Museum of History and Local Lore in the village of Ivankiv, where Maria Prymachenko's paintings were also kept. This was the first of many crimes committed by Russia against Ukrainian culture during the full-scale invasion. Fortunately, as it turned out later, local residents saved these works.
Ukrainian Puzzles, in collaboration with the Prymachenko Family Foundation, created a series of different puzzles with the works of Maria Prymachenko. This puzzle depicts the painting "The Sun is Low, the Tractor is Close," which the artist created in 1984.
