Ceramic jug with Bubnivka painting from "Keramik Podillya" is a combination of centuries-old Ukrainian traditions and cozy aesthetics in your home. The product is made in the unique technique of Bubnivka painting (Bubnivka village in Vinnytsia region), which is recognized as an object of intangible cultural heritage of Ukraine.
History of Bubnivka ceramics
The Bubnivka craft was formed in the 19th century and became famous throughout the world thanks to the dynasties of master potters. The main feature of this ceramics is a geometric and floral ornament applied to wet clay with a flinder and a horn, which creates delicate, flowing patterns in the traditional range: terracotta, brown, white and green colors.
Please note: the painting on the ceramics is based on traditional Podillya patterns - the product is not a replica or copy of authentic museum exhibits, but is their modern creative interpretation.
Symbolism of the ornament on the jug (interpretation based on motifs):
- Feathers (peacock tails): the central element of the painting, symbolizing beauty, spiritual flowering and considered a protective amulet.
- Central rosette ("Sun"): a symbol of life-giving energy, light, harmony and family warmth.
- Wavy lines along the edge: a symbol of the fluidity of time, vitality and infinity.
Features of use and care:
- Thanks to the traditional double firing and high-quality glaze coating, the jug is suitable for daily use.
- Microwave oven: allowed for heating.
- Oven: can be used (it is recommended to place in a cold oven to avoid sudden temperature changes).
- Dishwasher: no, wash only by hand with mild detergents to preserve the integrity of the glaze and the saturation of the pattern on many years.
