Rhubarb is a plant that gained wide popularity in Galicia in the 20th century. Our grandmothers made rhubarb pies, cooked compote and simply ate it raw, because this crop also has healing properties for the human body. In folk medicine, rhubarb root is used as a general tonic for anemia, tuberculosis, various digestive system disorders and gallbladder diseases.
The rhubarb we grow is the ""Victoria"" variety. This crop first appeared on the ranch in 2020 and since then we have been experimenting to make a jam that, with its unusual taste, will find favor among friends who appreciate unusual flavors. Another name for rhubarb is rumbambar (or rhubarb).
