Ukrainian Brynza cheese is a brine cheese made from sheep's milk from French Lacon sheep; made using a unique starter culture.
Sheep's milk Brynza is a traditional brine cheese with a rich taste, which is made exclusively from the milk of Lacon sheep. After production, the cheese is matured in natural brine for 5–6 months.
It is the long aging that gives the cheese a dense, but at the same time delicate texture and expressive taste. During the maturation in brine, the cheese gradually acquires a pleasant saltiness, rich milky aroma and light creamy sourness. Thanks to sheep's milk, the cheese has a rich taste and creamy structure that literally melts in your mouth.
This Brynza goes well with fresh vegetables, herbs, olive oil, homemade bread, baked potatoes and traditional Ukrainian dishes. It tastes equally good as an independent snack, as well as in salads, baked goods or hot dishes. Natural sheep's milk, long maturation in brine and careful production - this is how real brynza with a deep taste and character is born.
It has a white color, ripens and is stored in brine. Depending on the ripening period, the structure varies from soft, not too salty, to more dense and salty.
