Production begins with a high-quality oak blank that is left to dry for a year; the final shape is then carved and perfectly sanded. Finally, the piece is treated with a high-quality oil that protects the wood and is safe for food contact.

• Periodically (2–3 times a year) treat the item with linseed or walnut oil to maintain its appearance and protective properties.
