This handmade "Bar ceramics" bowl—featuring a "young lady and umbrella" motif—is the work of artisans from the "Keramika Podillia" collective in the Vinnytsia region. They are dedicated to reviving Ukraine's cultural heritage by crafting tableware adorned with the traditional painting styles of their region.
Bar ceramics represent a renowned folk craft from the town of Bar in Podillia (Vinnytsia region).
In the 19th century, Bar was a major center of pottery production; its wares were celebrated for their elegance, distinctive white background, and graphic artistic style. The craft's signature features include "horn" painting (applying slip via a horn-shaped tool) and *flankuvannia* (a blending or washing technique), creating an organic harmony of white, green, ochre-yellow, and brown hues.
These plates are more than just tableware; they are genuine protective talismans created according to authentic Podillia traditions.
Made from natural, eco-friendly clay and finished with a safe glaze, this piece is perfect for daily use and for serving both hot and cold dishes.

Use and care:
