In the 19th century, Bar was a major center of pottery production; its wares were celebrated for their elegance, distinctive white background, and graphic precision. The craft's most recognizable features are the "horn" painting technique and *flankuvannia* (a blending or softening of colors), which create a harmonious combination of white, green, ochre-yellow, and brown tones.
