A Trypillian house from the modern Ukrainian design brand Art Trypillia
This 3D model is the result of a collaboration with renowned archaeologist Mykhailo Videiko as part of the 'Trypillian Settlement in Virtual Reality' project.
The model was created not as a fanciful reconstruction, but based on archaeological excavation reports, research into Trypillian settlements, and house models left behind by the Trypillians themselves.
Presented here is a single-story Trypillian house featuring characteristic structural and decorative elements. The facade's ornamentation is particularly striking; its design is derived from the Volodymyrivka temple model, dating back to approximately 4100–4000 BCE.
We have brought this reconstruction from the digital realm into the physical world, allowing everyone to see and hold a miniature model of a house that—over 6,000 years ago—was part of a vast Trypillian settlement.
It is more than just a souvenir.
It is a tangible reconstruction of a fragment of life within the Trypillian civilization, created using archaeology and modern 3D modeling technology.
