Description

Ukrainian Puzzles is the most meaningful gift that combines originality, a social mission and an interesting activity.

"Flowers behind the mud" is one of the most famous paintings by Kateryna Bilokur (1960-1961), a brilliant Ukrainian artist whose creative potential was not fully realized due to the tragedies experienced by Ukraine. Bilokur was born and lived in the village of Bohdanivka, Poltava region. She failed to gain access to art education despite repeated attempts. She studied painting independently, choosing flowers as models and copying plants from nature. Despite all the limitations and obstacles, Kateryna Bilokur managed to create a number of masterpieces in the genres of naive art and folk decorative painting, including the painting "Flowers behind the mud", painted in oil in 1935. Today this painting is in the National Museum of Ukrainian Folk Decorative Art.
