Haloumi has a high melting point, so it is often grilled or simply fried.
The peculiarity of its preparation is that it can be fried to a beautiful golden brown color, thanks to a higher melting temperature than other cheeses.
This makes it suitable for frying or grilling, and as such is used as a topping in salads, or served with roasted vegetables.
