Description

A six-year-old girl from the city finds herself in the village, where she explores and discovers a completely different side of life, which affects the formation of her personality.

Yana Evgenivna Malyga, before the full-scale invasion, was a resident of Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region. She is a psychologist by profession. I write poems and prose. She is the author of a number of stories about people forced to remain in the occupation and stories of their rescue.
Since March 2022, I have been participating in the Ukrainian poetry project Poetry of the Free.
Finalist of the "War Diaries: Another Day" project - the diary will be implemented in an online exhibition (Cheetomo) in 2022.
Finalist and scholarship recipient of the project "Reading the Young City: Road to Freedom" reflections on the war in Ukraine. Publication of the work in the almanac "Reading the Young City" in Ukrainian, Lithuanian and English in 2022.
In 2022, she received a special distinction of the international ARTIF Award for propaganda and protection of human rights for the art project "Kherson History of Occupation".
Based on my stories, the verbatim play "Kherson Stories of Salvation" was staged - the premiere of which took place on June 18, 2023 in the city of Kyiv.

This book was created and published as part of the charitable project "Kentavrida". In 2022, our charitable foundation "It's Craft" initiated a project where writers write works based on the history or legends of Ukraine, and after competitive selection, some works are published in the "Centaurida" collection, and others you can read in electronic form. The printed and electronic collection of winning works can also be purchased in the Books section.

The project is designed to dispel the remnants of inferiority and disrespect for Ukrainian culture and our historical figures, and most importantly - to form such a good level of knowledge about Ukrainian heroes and values that there will never be wars and strife on our land again.
