Matsik "Dubrovytskyi" is a work of culinary art from the Ukrainian producer "Dubrovytskyi Matsik", which has been improved over time and the course of generations, embodies the family traditions of making selected meat with the addition of well-known, simple, natural spices.
The most original and sophisticated method of meat preservation (storage itself) is the drying process: pieces of selected pork generously seasoned with salt, pepper, bay leaves and other aromatic spices were very tightly stuffed into the stomach of the same animal. Then they were carefully sewn up so that no air could get inside, placed in a special bag made of linen fabric and hung in the attic and not looked at for at least several months. During this period, the meat was completely dehydrated, saturated with spices, without losing its own qualities (nutrients, calories, taste, etc.). A kind of natural meat concentrate was formed, which in its finished form was not only tasty, but also very filling.
