Message from the co-founders about the platform and values

It's Craft www.itscraft.com.ua is an online store of Ukrainian craft goods and a social enterprise supporting artisans and artists. As a social enterprise, we combine several business models, but the main one can be considered “redistribution of profits to support the growth of micro-producers from rural regions.”

At the end of 2019, at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, our goal was to create a platform to support Kherson region producers, micro and small, those who are not able to compete and sell online on their own.

We saw a huge need for such a platform, because many can produce goods, but not many can sell them. Thus, we began to help not only with online sales and promotion, but also with branding, packaging, photo shoots, finding funding for development, and simply providing recommendations for scaling.

We were the first to make the coolest and most durable box for parcels in Ukraine - wooden and aesthetic, so that customers do not worry about delivery. Employees of many private and state-owned companies received It's Craft gift boxes and even as gifts in international diplomatic missions.

We were the first to combine food and non-food products on the platform. This created a unique platform for everything craft, unique, authentic, tasty and healthy.

We are the only one of these platforms that works with a trading model at the national level: we have our own warehouses in the regions, we make our own purchases, storage and packaging, which allows customers to save on shipping when they want to buy goods from many manufacturers.

We are unique in that we work with manufacturers on a regional basis, so you can choose a chest from a specific region or oblast on the website.

We are implementing a social enterprise franchise that combines the concepts of a social and commercial franchise to support as many regional micro-producers as possible and create a better service for customers, and for local craftsmen to grow in their region through knowledge sharing and joint sales.

But the biggest uniqueness is that the profits from our activities are redistributed to support programs for craftsmen - grant competitions and development loans.

How to cooperate with us?

Which suppliers we cooperate with:

legal entities and individual entrepreneurs;
manufacturers of goods based on authentic or original recipes and technologies;
by categories of goods: craft food products ready for consumption, non-food products as accessories and interior items, decor, stationery, jewelry and bijouterie, etc;
if food products, the packaging must contain the date of production, information on storage conditions and the manufacturer;
if the food is of meat or dairy origin, the packaging must be vacuum sealed;
if food products have a shelf life of up to 3 months, then sales only from the manufacturer.

How to start cooperation?

1. Write an email to itscraftua@gmail.com with information about prices and terms of cooperation (price list) and a link to photos of the goods for review or fill out the form on the website on the Manufacturer page - https://itscraft.com.ua/prodavtsiu/.

2. The manager will contact you to clarify the terms of cooperation, sign the contract, and take all the necessary information for the website (product descriptions, specifications, photos).

3. If you do not have high-quality packaging, logo or product photos, we can provide branding and product photography services.

4. If you have certificates for raw materials or products, this contributes to the credibility of your brand - you can add them to the description of your company on the website.

What are the conditions for selling?

Sales can be made from the main or regional warehouse on a 100% buy-back basis or on sale.
According to the dropshipping model, we ship from your production.
Sales at fairs that we organize and are invited to.
If it is a food product, it can be included in gift sets for corporate orders.

How does the It's Craft website work?

It's a classic online site, not a marketplace. We have taken on the function of full sales support - promotion, order receipt and confirmation, payment control, generation of sales invoices and cash receipts. Thus, the seller is It's Craft. All you have to do is produce and send the goods to our warehouse or to customers.
Reconciliation of sales and payment for goods takes place once a month based on the aggregate invoice of all deliveries for the month, which is provided by the manufacturer and checked by the It's Craft accountant.
The delivery is paid by the customer, the buyer, and if there is a product failure, then according to the terms of Nova Poshta, the return delivery should be free. Returned goods are returned to the offices from which they were sent. This is managed by the It's Craft administrator from our CRM system.

Social mission of It's Craft

We are not just a website - we are a support platform for craftspeople. We pay special attention to producers from small communities. For 4 years now, we have been donating a portion of our profits to programs through our charitable foundation:

Revolving fund - repayable grants (loans) for any needs of operating enterprises. The amounts in 2024 are UAH 30,000 and UAH 40,000. The deadline is May 12 each year.

Permanent competition for creators - micro-grants for individuals who are just starting their creative career - UAH 1500 for raw materials for the first prototypes of products. The deadline is every last month of the season - May, August, November, February.

Kentavrida is a competition for writers of children's and teenage literature based on the history and legends of Ukraine (fiction). The deadline is May 12 each year.

Every year we do one-year projects for craftsmen, for example, in 2023 we were dedicated to Trypillia and Scythia - we collaborated with jewelry makers and ceramists for new collections, and in 2024 we are implementing the project “Mythologizing Trypillia” - educational trips and mini-residencies for craftsmen who will implement their ideas of combining authentic weaving, embroidery, and clay modeling techniques with modern technologies and design in the theme of Trypillia.

Proposals for cooperation within the It's Craft franchise

The It's Craft franchise is an opportunity for local entrepreneurs to become a regional administrator and make money with us. The franchisee's functions are to find and lead a craft manufacturer to cooperate with the platform, create a regional warehouse, and create a regional basket - gift sets of goods from manufacturers in your region. Maintaining such a warehouse allows you to sell joint baskets, and through the This is Craft website and a separate regional page, sales across Ukraine are enhanced.
