This is not just a book - it is a journey through time. Four unique works, written by both experienced writers and new names in literature, will open up the world of our ancestors and ancient myths.

What makes Kentavrida unique?

All four novels touch upon key themes: the birth of new nations, magical powers, the struggle for land, and difficult choices that change the course of history. Readers will be able to travel back to the times of the Scythians, feel the atmosphere of ancient tavras, plunge into mystical adventures, and even look into the realities of modern warfare through the prism of fairy tales.

Table of contents

Volodymyr Kobzar - “Sacred Paths or Wo and Sagi”This story takes us back to the eighth and fourth centuries BC, to the time when Scythian tribes roamed between the Dnipro and Bug rivers. The main characters, a boy named Vo and a girl named Sagi, meet by chance after an asteroid crash and together overcome the dangers of the steppe. They become the founders of a new tribe, and their story is a symbol of the beginning of a new life. It is a story about love, survival, and the desire to find one's place in the world.

Kateryna Kolesnyk - “Defenders of the Forest”A fantastic story that combines magic, the struggle for life, and friendship. The protagonist sets off on a journey with his magician friends to save his native land from the mystical Drought. The enemy is not only natural disasters, but also dark forces trying to take over the world. This is a story about unity, strength of spirit, and the importance of helping each other even in the darkest of times.

Serhii Shturhetskyi - “Borisfen's Last Choice”

This historical novel takes readers to the coast of Crimea 1200 years before Christ. The story takes place among the Tauri and the Hellenes, who are trying to find a balance between war and peace. The main conflict is between King Phoanthus and his son Borisfen, who fall in love with the same woman but have different visions of the future of the state. This is a deep, dramatic story about power, love, and difficult choices that change the course of history.

Oksana Trybun - “Tales from the Shelter”
This is a special part of the collection that tells about contemporary events through fairy tales. When the war broke out, one family invented a tradition: during air raid alerts, they would go down to the shelter and tell their children new fairy tales. These stories contain reality and fantasy, love for the Motherland and ways to fight fear. These are not just fairy tales - they are a way to survive the tragedy, to pass on to children the strength of spirit and faith in goodness.
