"Kherson region is Ukraine" is the last exhibition in Ukraine

On April 7, after more than six months of activity, the final exhibition of paintings of the "Kherson region is Ukraine" project in Ukraine will be held in the city of Truskavets. Therefore, we are publishing the results that we were able to achieve within the framework of this national artistic charity project.

PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

Provide support to the occupied regions in Russia's undeclared war with Ukraine. Through art events, the sale of works by artists and goods with prints , we collect funds for the reconstruction of cultural monuments and the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the liberation of the south of Ukraine from the Russian invasion.

"Kherson region is Ukraine" is a personal contribution of each of us to the de-occupation of our Motherland. This is an art program with the participation of artists and illustrators of Ukraine, as well as everyone who wants to. With this project, we say to those who temporarily remain in the occupation: "Hold on, we are with you, we are thinking about you, we are doing everything possible to help!"

Today, the attention of Ukraine and the entire civilized world is focused on the Kherson region - this is the tragedy of the occupied territory. We expect that after six months of occupation, the Ukrainian army will recapture this territory, where it is eagerly awaited. All those who left the occupied territory, as well as those who could not do so, dream of only one thing - to live freely again, without fear of expression of will and risks to life, to live in the Ukrainian Kherson region.

Today, this is the question of the future of our region. Every day that the Rashists remain on Ukrainian soil is months of future psychological rehabilitation of IDPs and those who remained in the occupied territory. These are dozens and hundreds of cultural values that the occupiers will destroy, and thousands of homes in which their owners will not be able to live.

ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF PAINTINGS AND GOODS WITH PRINTS ARE NOW TRANSFERRED TO ZSU. AFTER THE VICTORY, WE WILL ALLOCATE MONEY TO THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE RUINED CULTURAL AND ARCHITECTURAL MONUMENTS OF THE SOUTHERN UKRAINE - "STONE EMBROIDERIES", WHICH ARE A MUSEUM OF MONUMENTAL ART.

COMPONENTS OF THE PROJECT

The project consists of four stages:

Art residence .
Exhibitions in major cities of Ukraine.
Sale of paintings at auctions and collection of funds for the restoration of cultural monuments of the city of Nova Kakhovka, namely "stone embroidery" ornaments (50% of the collected funds) and the purchase of equipment for the 57th motorized rifle brigade named after Kostya Gordienko (50% of funds).
Exhibitions and final sale of paintings in European countries.

An art residency was held in Uman for artists from different regions of Ukraine from August 24 to September 4, where artists created 60 paintings that became the basis of the exposition on the theme "Kherson region is Ukraine". Paintings in traveling exhibitions have already visited galleries and exhibition halls in the cities of Uman, Kryvyi Rih , Odesa, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Truskavets.

20 artists took part in the art residency , 10 of them are members of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine: Dovgan Mykhailo, Dovgan Serhii, Dovgan Oleg, Slavhorodska Alina, Pavlo Makedonskyi, Inna Pantelemonova, Svyatoslav Bazyuk , Natalia Korobova , Yermak -Dolgova Larisa, Vladyslav Zadvorskyi, Viktoria Kartashova, Serhiy Simutin, Ihor Turko, Avlor Eva, Iryna Harkovets , Olga Sydorenko, Larissa Stepaniuk, Nina Fedotova, Anastasia Baranova, Olga Music.

Artists from different cities, visiting the opening and understanding the meaning of the project, additionally transferred their works to support the occupied territories. The exposition in its maximum number included 142 works.

Quantitative data

25 artists members of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine participated in the project and provided works for inclusion in the exhibition. In total, 72 artists took part in the project, who took part in the residency and submitted their works.
During the entire period of the project, there were 142 works of Ukrainian artists in the exhibitions.
Paintings of the main and additional exposure can be purchased. As of April 3, 2023, the sold paintings were allowed to collect UAH 70,821.22 on the account of the charity fund.
